Mokokchung, June 3 (MExN): A farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh, IAS was held on June 2.

In his speech, Sashank Pratap Singh said, "Mokokchung was one of the best places to stay in any capacity." The time in Mokokchung was the most comfortable stay in Nagaland, said the outgoing DC adding that he was leaving the place with fond memories, stated a DIPR report.

He maintained that whatever achievements he made in Mokokchung as DC, was all through the co-operation and support of the people. He also asked the people to give the same to the incoming Deputy Commissioner. With all the blessings of the people of Mokokchung, he would strive to do his best in his new assignments, the officer stated.

Thsuvisie Phoji, the incoming DC of Mokokchung, in his short speech, said that he was ready to take advice from the people of Mokokchung, and asked the people to support him so that everything could be done successfully as a team. He said he was determined to give his best in serving the district and the people.

Short speeches were delivered by District Planning Officer, Imlikokba on behalf of DPDB members & HoOs, President, Ao Senden on behalf of civil societies, President, All Ward Union Mokokchung, Limanungsang, PA to DC, Imnuksungba on behalf of DC Staff, ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe on behalf of Administrative Officers. Associate Pastor, MTBA, Monglier Tzudir said the invocation, and EAC Mokokchung, Vitolu Chishi chaired the programme.
