Awareness prog for pharmacies under Phek held

Phek, June 2 (MExN): The Drug Control Cell (DCC) under the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek conducted a sensitization and awareness programme for pharmacies under Phek district on June 2.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP Phek where he appealed the participants to adhere to the Government notification and not violate acts and rules, stated a press note.

K Limasenla Longchar, Drugs Control Officer, Phek highlighted the various categories of drugs with special emphasis on schedule H, H1 and X drugs and the maintenance of records and registers as required under Drugs and cosmetic Acts 1940 and Rules 1945.

The pharmacies were directed to strictly comply on the notification on the restricted drugs issued by Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland. Also as directed by the District Level Committee Narcotic Coordination (NCORD) Phek district, all pharmacies/medical stores under Phek district were directed to compulsorily install CCTV on or before June 20.
